The IW-RJ460-08 facilitates modular arrangement with its high-density trays. The exclusively designed backplane is available in two options: SAS4 (24 Gb/s) or SAS3 (12 Gb/s), supporting a storage capacity of up to 60 bays. It’s capable of processing a large amount of data in sequence and place it quickly and properly for storage.

Bulk Mass Capacity Design
Top-loading, quick fold, 90° holder that enables simple install 2.5"/3.5" HDDs. With contracted, high-density design, the IW-RJ460-08 can provide more efficient space management and allow maximum capacity up to 60 bays.
To minimize vibrations generated by the HDDs, the drives and trays are strategically arranged by cross-position.
HDD faulty detection panel. Each individual LED attentively designed to indicate the status of its corresponding drive, allowing users to identify and correct errors.
Fast, Stable, and Reliability
Bridge and edge expanders create path-redundant topologies through multi-ported devices, making them ideal for high-availability systems that handle massive data while delivering superior performance. The IW-RJ460-08’s exclusive backplane design ensures exceptional stability in data transmission and provides ample space for efficient cable management.
SAS4 : Supports SAS4 (24 Gb/s) connectivity via MCIO 8i & 4i connectors, ensuring a reliable, high-performance data rate.
SAS3 : Supports SAS3 (12 Gb/s) connectivity, delivering a reliable, high-performance data rate.

Suitable for high-availability systems, the expander is equipped with dual-domain edge modules to support data redundancy. Should one path fail, traffic will fail over to an alternate path.
Fewer cables and optimized spacing provide more room for cable management and improved airflow.
1. Primary
Easily uplinks to servers or downlinks to another cascading JBOD via SAS4 or SAS3 dual expander controller modules.
2. Secondary
The Bridge expander serves as the main control component. With dual modules, both can connect to the same server, providing full data redundancy.
Modularization
Most parts of the IW-RJ460-08 are fully modular and designated as CRUs (Customer Replaceable Units). Following the KISS (Keep It Simple, Straightforward) principle, the IW-RJ460-08 enables non-technical personnel to perform quick maintenance and easily replace components.
The IW-RJ460-08’s tool-free trays, edge modules and backplanes are easy to setup.
The PSUs, fans, and expanders are all hot-swappable, ensuring continuous operation during module replacement.

Heat Dissipation
The IW-RJ460-08 generates intensive airflow by using four 80 x 38mm PWM hot-swap fans. The air tunnel, room for the cable management, and effective airflow contributes to the successful heat dissipation of the enclosure.
