SAS3 Backplane with Integrated Expander

At the core of the system is a SAS3 backplane architecture equipped with an onboard expander, enabling direct and efficient communication between host and drives. With Mini-SAS HD connectivity and full 12Gbps bandwidth support, the platform delivers consistent data throughput required for modern storage workloads.

Platform Compatibility

The chassis is compatible with both Intel and AMD server platforms, supporting motherboard sizes up to EEB. This flexibility allows system builders to configure the platform according to specific application requirements, while available PCIe expansion ensures room for additional performance upgrades.

Modular Storage Design

Storage flexibility is enhanced through a 12-bay front-access design supporting both 2.5" and 3.5" drives. The introduction of the 02M tray system allows for a more modular setup, making drive installation and replacement faster and more intuitive while improving overall service efficiency.

Dedicated Rear System Drive Bays

To support system-level storage without occupying front drive capacity, the RSA212-02M includes 2 rear-mounted 2.5" hot-swappable SSD bays. This dedicated design allows for OS or boot drive deployment while preserving front storage for data, improving overall system organization and efficiency.

Efficient Cooling

A streamlined airflow path moves air directly from front to rear, reducing heat accumulation inside the chassis. High-speed hot-swappable fans maintain consistent thermal performance, allowing the system to operate reliably even when all drive bays are fully populated.

Reliable CRPS Support

To support stable system operation, RSA212-02M is equipped for 80 PLUS Platinum CRPS power supplies in a redundant configuration. This setup ensures uninterrupted performance and allows power modules to be replaced without shutting down the system, reducing operational risk in critical deployments.
